Jaguar XJ-SC V12 (1987)

In 1975, the Jaguar XJ-S was introduced as the successor to the famous Jaguar E-Type. The completely new design principles were at first controversial, evoking a lukewarm response from tradition-minded Jaguar enthusiasts. But by the end of its long production run in 1996, the XJ-S had become Jaguar's best-selling sports car.

The top-of-the-range models were equipped with the world-famous 12-cylinder engine, which had already made its debut in the legendary Jaguar E-Type. The engine provided outstanding smoothness and plenty of power due to its optimum torque curve. The convertible variant, called the XJ-SC, was launched in 1983. Keeping with the times, the model featured a Targa top with a fixed roll bar. This ensured high body rigidity and enhanced safety in the event it overturned, yet without compromising the joys of driving in the fresh air.

As the early convertible is hard to find, we are pleased to have such a well-preserved model on offer. The car was delivered to Switzerland in 1987 via Emil Frey and has been in the care of its second owner since 2000. The mileage is documented by the service booklet, which is provided along with the emissions maintenance documents and invoices. The new owner can look forward to a distinct and stylish classic car that promises many enjoyable drives.
