Aston Martin V8 Volante 1982

The Aston Martin V8 can be traced back to the Aston Martin DBS, which made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 1967. Designed by Englishman William Towns, the car featured a completely new body and was conceived as the successor to the Aston Martin DB6. In 1972, the styling of the front end was changed for the first time. While the DBS had four twin headlights and a chrome grille, the new car – now simply called the Aston Martin V8 – had only two large single headlights. The famous "DB" abbreviation was dropped because the new Aston Martin owners wanted to eliminate any reference to the former owner, David Brown. The Aston Martin V8 underwent continuous changes and was built entirely by hand for five series until 1990. In 1987, the convertible and coupé appeared in the James Bond movie The Living Daylights.

The vehicle on offer was produced in 1982 and is one of 39 V8 Volante models from that year. It was delivered to its first owner in Newport Beach, California. In the following years, the car came to Europe and had four owners. In 2023, it was imported to Switzerland by Emil Frey Classics AG, at the request of the last owner in England, and restored to perfection.
